2025 NHL PTO Tracker
With NHL training camps starting in September, teams are adding players on Professional Tryout Agreements (PTOs) to evaluate depth and competition for roster spots. This page will be updated throughout camp as more PTOs are announced, providing a team-by-team list of every player currently attending on a tryout.
What is a PTO?
A Professional Tryout Agreement (PTO) is a short-term contract that allows a player to participate in training camp and preseason games with a team without guaranteeing a spot on the roster. Players on PTOs can earn a standard NHL contract if they impress, or use the opportunity to showcase themselves for other teams. They are free to sign with any team.
