Tampa Bay released Walcott on Saturday from his professional tryout agreement and returned him to AHL Syracuse.

Walcott was demoted from the taxi squad to AHL Syracuse on Sunday, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports.

Walcott was promoted from AHL Syracuse to the taxi squad Thursday, Bryan Burns of the Tampa Bay Lightning's official site reports.

Walcott was waived Saturday, reports Ren Lavoie of TVA Sports.

Walcott has been promoted to the active roster for Monday's game against the Florida Panthers, Erik Erlendsson of Lightning Insider reports.

Walcott signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.

Walcott was reassigned to AHL Syracuse on Monday.
