Samuel Girard Transactions

Girard (personal) told Corey Masisak of The Denver Post on Saturday that he will return to the lineup Sunday versus San Jose. Girard was activated from the non-roster list Saturday, per the NHL media site.

Girard is on indefinite leave and has entered the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program.

Per Peter Baugh of The Athletic, Girard (not injury related) is on the ice for pregame warmups, indicating he's been added to Colorado's active roster and will return to the lineup for Saturday afternoon's outdoor match versus Vegas.

Girard is expected to be removed from the NHL's COVID-19 protocols list, making him eligible to return Saturday against the Vegas Golden Knights, NHL.com's Rick Sadowski reports.
