What happens to Buyout Cap Hit when player signs new Contract?

What happens to Edmonton's buyout when Sekera signs a new contract with Dallas?
How much of the buyout is Edmonton still required to pay?
Does this increase Edmonton's cap space?

Once a player is bought out, the team buying him out incurs the buyout cost and cap hit regardless of any future contracts the player signs. So in this case, Sekera signing a new contract with Dallas does not impact or change the Oilers' buyout cost or cap hit.
