Kane & Bonuses with LTIR space

If Kane is out for the year but the Oilers do not use all of his cap space, is there a benefit to them in subsequent years for bonuses or anything from this?

No, finishing with space in LTIR does not reduce potential bonus overages.  The bonus overage = the final cap hit + bonuses earned - cap ($88M).  If a team uses LTIR and finishes over the cap, based on the formula, all bonuses will be an overage.  The Oilers finishing over the cap but still having LTIR space available would not absorb any bonuses earned this season, they would all be an overage cap charge next year.
