Minimum Salary in new CBA

Asked Aug 4, 2025 by Ian W

Multiple players have signed multi-year min. salary contracts (see Pelletier 3x775k). Will they stay at that number next year or automatically get bumped up to the new min. salary under the new CBA?

No player can have a salary less than the league minimum. When the new CBA goes into effect, players making less than the league minimum salary will have their contracts and the resulting cap hit automatically increased.  This is also the case for players with large contracts where they receive a large signing bonus plus the league minimum salary; even they will get their salary (and resulting cap hit) increased.
