If the Oilers were to Put Corey Perry on Waivers and he cleared, would his salary cap hit still apply because he is over 35 yrs old?

The over 35 rules changed with the 2020 CBA. Only certain contracts qualify for those 35+ rules, and Perry's contract does not, so it is treated like any other contract.
