Chris Wideman Updates
Wideman (back) told reporters Tuesday that he will not play again, Eric Engels of Sportsnet reports.
Wideman is out indefinitely because of a back injury.
Wideman had an assist and one blocked shot over 8:00 of ice time in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the New York Rangers.
Wideman had two shots on goal, three blocked shots and two penalty minutes over 12:47 of ice time in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
